We’re launching the New Health System Portal in the Basque Country

The Basque Government has entrusted Bilbomática, an Altia company, to develop the new Basque Health System Portal, an innovative project that seeks to promote and evaluate healthcare interoperability in the region.
The project will be launched in 2024, and its main goal is to facilitate the participation and collaboration of different agents of the Basque administrations in the health system model, structuring it on three basic points:
On the one hand, the portal will serve as a central platform for building collaborative tools and promoting the Basque health system model. From the IT standpoint, these tools will provide support and will evolve the coordination between the different agents in the administrations.
On another, the project also sets out the definition and construction of an assessment and follow-up model for health system interoperability. This model will allow for the actions and impacts of the implemented initiatives to be reflected and measured.
Finally, specialized support is included for the use of the new tools, the integration of data from third-party institutions, and the necessary technical support to understand and apply the health care model.
This system is aimed at professionals in the sector, with the goal of providing them digital tools that facilitate coordination within and outside the system and that promote a cultural shift towards joint and coordinated work among the professionals of the health and social systems.
With this launch, the Basque Country stands at the vanguard of health system innovation, promoting greater collaboration and efficiency in the sector.
